Cessna CJ3 For Sale
The Cessna Citation CJ3 (Model 525B) is a light business jet manufactured by Cessna in Wichita, Kansas. First certified in 2004, it builds on the CJ2 with a stretched fuselage, more powerful engines, and increased range. The CJ3+ variant, introduced in 2014, added the Garmin G3000 avionics suite and further performance improvements.
Powered by two Williams FJ44-3A engines, each producing 2,820 pounds of thrust, the CJ3 has a range of approximately 1,875 nautical miles with four passengers. The cabin measures 15 feet 8 inches long, 4 feet 10 inches wide, and 4 feet 9 inches tall, seating up to nine passengers with 14 cabin windows. It is certified for single pilot operation and features a maximum operating altitude of 45,000 feet.
Performance
The CJ3 reaches a high speed cruise of 416 knots and a long range cruise speed of 366 knots. Its maximum takeoff weight of 13,870 pounds and maximum fuel capacity of 4,710 pounds represent meaningful increases over the CJ2. The aircraft is equipped with Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics on the standard CJ3, or Garmin G3000 on the CJ3+ variant. The FJ44-3A engines provide 480 pounds more takeoff thrust than the CJ2's engines, combined with natural laminar flow wings for improved fuel efficiency.
