Learjet 45 For Sale
The Learjet 45 is a midsize business jet manufactured by Bombardier Learjet in Wichita, Kansas. First delivered in 1998, it was designed as a clean sheet aircraft rather than a development of earlier Learjet models. The Learjet 45XR variant, introduced in 2004, offered improved takeoff performance and increased range. Production ceased in 2012.
Powered by two Honeywell TFE731-20BR engines, each producing 3,500 pounds of thrust, the Learjet 45 has a range of approximately 2,120 nautical miles with four passengers. The flat floor cabin measures 19 feet 9 inches long, 5 feet 1 inch wide, and 4 feet 11 inches tall, seating up to nine passengers. The 45XR variant increased maximum takeoff weight and delivered improved hot and high airport performance.
Performance and Design
The Learjet 45 cruises at 465 knots with a maximum speed of Mach 0.81, retaining the speed heritage that defined the Learjet brand. The aircraft features a Rockwell Collins Pro Line 4 avionics suite on earlier models, with many retrofitted to Pro Line 21. Its supercritical wing design provides efficient high altitude cruise performance with a service ceiling of 51,000 feet, well above most commercial traffic and weather.
