The Embraer Legacy 600 is a large cabin, long range business jet manufactured by Embraer in Sao Jose dos Campos, Brazil. Derived from the ERJ 135 regional jet airframe, it was Embraer's first dedicated business jet when deliveries began in 2002. The Legacy 600 offered a unique proposition: a large cabin volume comparable to heavy jets at super midsize operating costs.
Powered by two Rolls Royce AE 3007A1E engines, each producing 7,900 pounds of thrust, the Legacy 600 has a range of 3,250 nautical miles with eight passengers. The flat floor cabin measures 42 feet 8 inches long, 6 feet 11 inches wide, and 6 feet tall, offering three distinct cabin zones. With a maximum seating capacity of 13, it provides significantly more space than typical super midsize jets.
Performance and Features
The Legacy 600 cruises at Mach 0.78 with a maximum speed of Mach 0.80. It features a Honeywell Primus Elite avionics suite and a large external baggage compartment of 240 cubic feet, the largest in its class. The aircraft was produced alongside the larger Legacy 650, which offered extended range. Over 260 Legacy 600 and 650 aircraft were delivered, with operators across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
