Gulfstream G500 For Sale
The Gulfstream G500 is a large cabin, long range business jet manufactured by Gulfstream Aerospace in Savannah, Georgia. Announced in 2014 and first delivered in 2018, it was designed as a clean sheet replacement for the Gulfstream G450. The G500 introduced Gulfstream's Symmetry Flight Deck, an entirely new cockpit design featuring active control sidesticks and ten touchscreen displays.
Powered by two Pratt and Whitney Canada PW814GA engines, each producing 15,144 pounds of thrust, the G500 has a range of 5,200 nautical miles at Mach 0.85. The cabin measures 41 feet 6 inches long, 7 feet 7 inches wide, and 6 feet 2 inches tall, with 14 panoramic oval windows per side that are the largest in the industry. It typically seats 13 to 19 passengers.
Technology and Performance
The G500 was the first business jet to receive FAA certification with an active control sidestick system, which provides tactile feedback and reduces pilot workload. The Symmetry Flight Deck eliminates the traditional yoke in favour of fly by wire controls with a clean, ergonomic instrument panel. The aircraft cruises at Mach 0.85 and can reach a maximum speed of Mach 0.90, making it one of the fastest large cabin jets currently in production. It can operate from runways as short as 5,300 feet.
