Cirrus SR22 For Sale
The Cirrus SR22 is a four seat, single engine, low wing composite aircraft manufactured by Cirrus Aircraft in Duluth, Minnesota. Since its introduction in 2001, it has been the best selling single engine piston aircraft in the world for over two decades, with more than 7,000 delivered.
The SR22 is powered by a Continental IO-550-N producing 310 horsepower, giving it a cruise speed of 183 knots and a range of approximately 1,050 nautical miles with standard fuel. Its most distinctive feature is the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS), a whole aircraft ballistic recovery parachute that can lower the entire aircraft to the ground in an emergency.
Variants
The SR22 has been produced in several generations. The Generation 3 (G3), introduced in 2004, brought significant aerodynamic and systems improvements. The G5, introduced in 2013, added the Cirrus Perspective avionics suite based on Garmin G1000. The SR22T variant adds a turbonormalised engine, extending performance at higher altitudes with cruise speeds around 215 knots. The top of the range SR22T G7 represents the current production standard.
